If you are a new webmaster/mistress, you are probably wondering why you are getting emails such as 'Affy with my site!'. So ZH has an About Page of Affiliation for you new guys. To start out this we start with the question.

Q: What is Affiliation?
A:Affiliation(or Affy for short) is where sites exchange links to get more hits. It is only an affy if both sites have each others link. Note that they both have to accept the deal.

Q:Are there different types of affys?
A: Yes, today there are three to four types. Partners(sister or brother site)usually have their own category and share eachothers hits and page stats. Top Affys are a step above the rest. Reg. Affys are the most common. Sub affys are normally begining sites.

Q: I don't have any affys, should I quit making content and try to get some.
A: No, 75% of your efforts should stay in making unique content. The other 25% is split between affys, and other stuff.

Q: A person said no when I asked them to affy. Why?
A: You probably didn't qualify or you didn't read the rules. Sometimes people may put codes in the rules to make sure you read them.
